Kerosene Assistance
A Place for Hope provides kerosene for community members in need during cold weather months. Fuel reserves are supplied by local area donors with the agreement that fuel is available for neighborhood residents only.

Center Upkeep and Grounds Maintenance
Providing a clean, efficient, and well maintained center is an ongoing project.

Special Events
A Place for Hope often sponsors community gatherings, workdays, and other weekend events in conjunction with other organizations, Winthrop service learning classes, and off-premises field trips.

Donations
Though it is unlikely that volunteers will be called upon to accept donations, we would like you to be familiar with the procedures for accepting in kind (services, food, clothing, furniture, etc.) and cash donations in the event that the site manager or other staff is unavailable.
